I hesitate to use the word "quitter" when talking about Pat Summitt. Seriously - look at her Wikipedia page (and then ask yourself WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE?):
- Summitt is the only men's or women's basketball coach in NCAA history to reach 1000 wins. She has never had a losing season.
- Summitt has won 109 games in the NCAA post-season tournament. No other women's basketball program has played in 100 NCAA tournament games.
- Forty-five of her former players have gone on to become coaches.
45! What the what?!
The circumstances are sad, but I love that she's going out on a high note.
